Everyone in life was put here for a purpose according to God's will. On this journey to becoming a Culturalista...I have been searching for that purpose. I have come to realize that God ensures that His work is done whether or not you are ready to accept the calling on your life or not. I have also found it easier to submit to His will because eventually He will make you and that process can be painful. In this journey, I asked myself a few questions.
1. Can I have more than one purpose? I found that answer to be YES. We are made in His image and he is all things...so who are we not to fulfill more than one mission or purpose?
2. Can the purpose change over time? YES I think that as we grow...our purpose can change and grow too!
3. Does our purpose have to be fulfilled in our careers? NO...it can be fulfilled in your extra-curricular activities. However, it is a powerful thing when your purpose, passion, and career can all be one. That is truly a gift. I just don't want people to neglect purpose for money. Purpose-driven lives are far more rewarding.
I am still on this journey of tuning into my God-given talents and my purpose and how those will manifest in life on a day-to-day. The start of this blog is one of the tasks of obedience in pursuing that purpose. I believe there is power in connecting and sharing life experiences because others can learn, grow, or be inspired by your life. My cousin sent me the picture below this morning saying this is what she sees in me.

I can only hope that I successfully spend some time building people, encourage people, bring out the best in people, assist those in accomplishing their dreams. I desire to speak faith, victory, affirmation, and value over the lives of those around me. To me, this is the root of the Culturalista. So here's to a life of Purpose. Ask yourself how you will fulfill yours?
Sincerely,
The Culturalista
